About Theps siberian husky kennel:

Our kennel is located in Gol in Hallingdal, 3 hours from Oslo in Norway. Gol is a relatively large village in the middle of one of Norway`s biggest valleys, Hallingdal. The nature around is basiclly large areas with pine-forest and unvegetated mountains. The climate is very stabil in this part of Norway. The snow conditions are also usually very good from October through May, which leaves us a very long sledge-season. The kennel is placed pretty high up in the side of the valley at 550 meters, compared to Gol which is 207 m.h. We make our own tracks, with close cooperation with other local mushers.

We are living with ca 20 siberian huskies in the kennel now, but we started out with 2 male SH in 1996. We bought them from Karsten Grønås at the Vargevass kennel. Later we bought five more from the same kennel. In 2001 we got a puppie from Hans-Christian Ørjestad. His dogs are dominated by blood-lines from Vargteam kennel. This lead to a close cooperation and gave us dogs with blood lines from each of these kennels.  In the autumn 2007 we achieved a puppie from Tom Arne Kristiansen with Jedeye blood-lines from the USA.

We use the dogs for variated purposes such as paid tours for touristes, races and of course short and long trips with friends and family. We compete in mid-distance and long-distance races in Norway and Sweden. We seek to make our kennel a place full of life and activity for the people around us, aswell as breed competitive racing siberians with good temper, and the ability to lead in all kind of conditions.
